Meer Abdulla, Film Maker, well known for his iconic film ‘Padamati Sandhya Ragam’ (PSR) is planning a sequel titled: “Maro Sandhya Ragam (MSR)” through VeeZari Films banner.
PSR was the first ever Telugu film made in the United States! It won hearts of Telugu film audiences as well as many prestigious awards including Filmfare’s Best Telugu Movie of the Year (1987), Nandi Awards from AP State Government, India, etc. It was a romantic comedy with India’s Vijayashanti and Hollywood actor, Thomas Jane, as the lead pair. PSR has attempted to build a cross-cultural bridge via film medium proclaiming all world citizens are ‘One Family’… Vasudhaika Kurumbam!
“I would like to introduce new faces in front of the camera and new talent behind the camera… just like we did for PSR”, said Writer Director Meer Abdulla at a Press Conference held in Kakinada, India on March 11, 2024. “We would like to encourage actors, singers, and other aspiring talent to get in touch with us”.
Intended for worldwide distribution, MSR will be made in multiple languages, including: Telugu, English, Hindi, Russian and Tamil. It will also use the same ingredients that made PSR one of the top 100 movies ever made in Telugu for the past 100 years!
