Meer Abdulla, well-known for his Telugu Film “Padamati Sandhya Ragam (PSR) is planning a sequel: MSR. Pre-production activities have already begun to make the movie in multiple languages: Telugu, English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Russian— for worldwide release later this year.

PSR, which was shot entirely in the US and released in India in 1987, has become an iconic cult film in Tollywood. In addition to becoming a hit at the box-office, it received many awards including Filmfare’s “Best Telugu Film of the Year (1987)” award, and Nandi awards from AP State Government, India. In addition, it ended up on the list of “100  Best Telugu Movies” ever made in the first 100 years of Telugu Film Industry!

Meer has degrees from REC Warangal (now NITWA), Post graduation from NITIE (now Indian Institute of Management Mumbai) and another Masters M.S. from the University of Maryland (US). Prior to making PSR, Meer was busy on stage: writing, acting and directing plays and organizing a mega musical US tour of famous singer S.P. Bala Subramanyam. 

Having founded and successfully running a Management Consulting company, VeeZari, in the US, Meer is now taking up Film Making full time for worldwide consumption. 

One key aspect of Meer’s film making DNA is that he would like to introduce new talent behind as well as in front of the camera. 

“I’d like to welcome enthusiastic actors, singers, and others talented in filmography who want a break into films”, said Meer in a press meet held on March 11.

ఆచిత్రానికి సహనిర్మాతగా వ్యవహరించి, అందులో విజయశాంతి బాబాయిగా నటించటమేకాక, తెరవెనుక కూడా కీలకమైన పాత్రవహించిన ‘మీర్ అబ్దుల్లా’…గతంలో స్టేజి మీద 50 కి పైబడి నాటకాల్లో నటుడిగా, రచయితగా, దర్శకుడిగా ప్రశంసలు అందుకోవటమేకాక…హాస్య బ్రహ్మ శ్రీ జంధ్యాల గారి దగ్గిర సినీ దర్శకత్వం లో శిష్యరికం చేసారు!
